No Hot Water

Find yourself with no hot water?

Having no hot water, is one of the most common boiler problems experienced by householders. The shock of having no hot water (particularly if you discover the problem in the shower!!) can happen at anytime of year but many people have this problem during or following the summer months.

There can be multiple possible causes of having no hot water. These range from airlocks, broken diaphragms, failure of motorised valves, through to boiler problems. If you need a combi boiler repair then you will have no hot water as the boiler has to be operating correctly to deliver your hot water requirements. Whatever the reason for not having hot water, our experienced and fully qualified engineers can help.

We sometimes get calls from landlords and tenants asking what rights tenants have. These include keeping all gas, water and heating equipment in good repair. The landlord may also have additional responsibilities to repair or replace the boiler depending on what the tenancy agreement says. By law the landlord must have an annual gas safety inspection for all gas appliances in the property. Tenants have a responsibility to be aware of gas safety at home, do not use any gas appliances (including the boiler) if you think it may be unsafe and inform the landlord. If your accommodation needs boiler repairs then your first step should be to speak to the landlord and/or managing agent. You can either seek their authorisation for you to pay directly for the boiler repair and then be refunded. Alternatively you can ask them to contact us directly – we can accept payment over the phone by credit/ debit card or by bank transfer.
