There are a variety of boiler problems you may be experiencing, there are a number of telltale signs of a boiler fault or that it is at risk of becoming faulty. These include boiler noise, having no hot water, flame failure, the boiler not firing up (no pilot light), and having a leaking boiler. With most boiler problems it is difficult to definitely determine the source of the problem until fault finding and diagnosis has been carried out by one of our knowledgeable and experienced boiler repair engineers.
Boiler problems vary is severity, with the most severe being left with no hot water and/or no central heating. If you notice the operation of your boiler getting progressively worse it may be worth considering how you and your family would cope with no heating and hot water when the weather is cold. When the weather turns particularly cold, you may be left waiting for days or even weeks until there is an available date to replace your existing boiler with a new boiler installation. This is why it’s important to have an annual boiler service. Not only will this prolong the life of your existing boiler, identify any potential safety issues, it will also give you a good idea about the internal condition of the boiler and how much likely it can be expected to operate reliably. It is not uncommon for us to be called to help with boiler trouble where the boiler is only a few years but because they have never been serviced the internal components are in a very poor condition and have failed or are likely to fail in the near future. This is particularly true with particularly models and makes of boiler.
If would like to discuss any boiler problems you are experiencing, please give us a call. We are often told that it is a relief to speak with someone who can explain a boiler repair in plain English
